Play therapy gives a child or an adult opportunity to work with images, figurines, art and music to explore in a sensory way relationships, connections, creating alternative outcomes. Working within the realm of play, children can play out power and relationship scenarios. Open ended play, child directed or cooperative play can deeply empower a child to see alternatives and develop perspective. Toy world is always smaller than the child. I have toys, crafts and music instruments all over my house. Play can range from beach side with simulated water and landscapes or weather permitting can be outside with real water. War and animals grief work....I can facilitate a safe loving environment and play situations. I started my career working with children in daycare, school and home settings over 30 years ago.
