Breaking FREE -My Life As Homeless Woman Story. It's truly an inspirational and motivational story. I was living as a Homeless Woman in Portland, Oregon from 2011 to 2016. I lived in and out three different shelters for Homeless Women that were open at that time for 3 years and then 2 years of actually living on the streets of downtown Portland.I share the struggles and triumphs that I went through living as a Homeless Woman.Also,while I was homeless I decided to make yet another major change.I decided to go get a college education to help me better my life and get out of that situation.That is what I did.I GRADUATED with SEVEN different certificates while living as homeless woman and going to college for the first time at 45+ years old. Overcame being homeless in late 2016. In 2019, I went with Right 2 Survive a non profit organization for the housed and houseless people in Portland, we went to Bend, Oregon to Speak at a Public Forum on Houselessness. I spoke about what it was like to be a HOMELESS Woman for 5 years, the struggles, safety issues, personal hygiene products: women are finding it hard to get menstrual pads or tampons, finding bras and underwear in the right size at the different homeless resource places that help with clothing. Just the day to day living in the homeless environment and what can be done to ensure the safety and health of WOMEN who are going through Homelessness. I also wrote a 26 page story about my experiences Living as a Homeless Woman. That is available for purchase on my website.I am still writing more about my experience... the new pages should be hopefully ready by the end of December 2021.
