TFC hosts complimentary wellness services such as Naturopathic Medicine, Bowen Therapy, Massage Therapy, Acupuncture, Financial Wellness, Counselling, Women’s Health & Fertility, and Dietetics in an environment full of positive vibrations, mindfulness, happiness and love! Naturopathic Medicine with Dr. Tara Lantz Born and raised on the West Coast, Dr. Lantz has deep roots and family ties to Nova Scotia and is happy to be practicing in Halifax and throughout the province. Her passion for connection and mindfulness informs her commitment to her patients, her involvement in the community, and all her relationships. She works collaboratively with other medical professionals to bridge the gap between standard medical care and complementary medicine. She has additional training Bowen therapy, Craniosacral therapy, Psychosomatic Energetics and IV Nutritional Therapy. As a Registered Massage Therapist, Stephanie Dort is trained in deep tissue and Ashiatsu (barefoot) massage therapy. She also specializes in sports and pregnancy conditions and is certified in cupping massage therapy. Stephanie adopts a holistic approach to her treatments and offers therapeutic homecare advice with every session. As a yoga and Pilates practitioner, runner and paddler, she learned early on the importance of taking care of your body. She is a firm believer in the best health care being one’s own self-care strategies that create a foundation for wellness. Kim Harris has been practicing as a Registered Massage Therapist since 2007. With a strong belief in treating every being based on specific, individual needs, Kim provides a range of treatments from deep tissue therapy to gentle body and energy work. From her experience, Kim has learned that a holistic approach to overall health and wellness is essential. Let’s put it this way: Kim believes to make this odyssey of ours a little more enjoyable all we need is to tap into one of the grand masters, Mr. Bruce Springsteen, and find ourselves “a little of that human touch.” Virgil Muir, Registered Massage Therapist, specializes in a therapeutic approach that combines intuitive touch and deep tissue techniques. His approach matches his character, he’s a soft spoken and calm person who makes people / clients feel at ease in a professional and casual setting. Virgil’s interest in Chinese Tuina massage influences his treatment style. Virgil has more than 10-years experience as an RMT working with a wide variety of clients in a clinical and relaxation setting, his treatments are range from relaxation to therapeutically restorative. He loves helping his clients feel their best and gives a killer asian-style foot massage. Nicole Marchand, Registered Dietitian. As a healthcare professional, I believe that eating well reduces the risk of developing short and long term illnesses which can lessen quality of life. I demonstrate to clients that eating well can be easy, fun, inexpensive and delicious. Brian Macaulay, Counsellor believes that the strength and motivation to change comes from within the client where the role of the therapist is to help facilitate change. Brian helps people target their innate strengths while establishing tangible goals and outcomes. Amanda strongly supports the integration of eastern and western medicine and is committed to helping others reach their utmost potential in physical, mental and spiritual health. Although Amanda is a general practitioner and has successfully treated a wide variety of conditions such as; digestive disorders, pain management, anxiety, depression, stress reduction, allergies, insomnia and many other pathologies, she has both a special interest and high success rate helping couples with fertility and conceiving naturally as well as increasing the success of IVF. Amanda worked with women of all ages to help regulate their menstrual cycles, relieve pain and symptoms of PMS, balance moods and emotions, stabilize hormone levels and support the fertility process, as well as provide pregnancy support. Heather Evans, Reiki Master. Reiki is an ancient healing technique in which the practitioner can channel the universal energy that constantly surrounds us into a client by means of touch. This process has the ability to activate the natural healing power we all possess to promote and restore physical and emotional well-being. Heather’s services not only promote the natural healing processes you have, but can promote a new sense of freedom, inspiration, awareness, empowerment, and peace.
