Pool or aquatic therapy is an approach to active rehabilitation that takes place in the water under the supervision of a kinesiologist. Water opposes the force of gravity opening up the opportunity to reap the benefits of active rehab to those with difficulties exercising on land. The ability to swim is not required to participate in aquatic therapy. Exercises are performed in chest deep water while standing or in deep water with a floatation belt. At Symmetrix Exercise and Rehab we employ our background in kinesiology to apply a science-based approach to exercise rehab. We work independently, or alongside your doctor or physiotherapist to help you in overcoming your injuries and reclaim an active and mobile lifestyle. Our clients love getting stronger, reducing pain and getting back to the activities they enjoy, and we love helping them get there. Sessions take place at Hillcrest Community Centre.

This assessment will give us a chance to get to know each other, identify your mental health goals and develop a plan.

Each session will focus on achieving your identified goals and will be tailored to you.

Recovery from addictions that you thought you could not conquer. ALL ADDICTIONS. Substance abuse, sex addiction, soft drugs, hard drugs. Everyone.

This one-to-one session is for individuals who have completed the intake session. The session will build upon the information discussed in the initial session. Sessions are customized to the unique needs of each client. Homework and skill development tools are typically given to the client at the end of each session. Sessions may include topics such as: Learning strategic goal setting, Resiliency and mental toughness, Stress management, Performance anxiety / worry tools, Intrapersonal conflict, Self-confidence, Team dynamics, Leadership skills, Visualization, Improving self-talk, Pre-performance routines, Focus / attention / concentration, Motivation, Get in "the zone", Self-regulation and learning, mindset tools for injury recovery.
