About Functional Wholeness

As a Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner (CFMP), I address the underlying causes of disease, using a systems-oriented approach by engaging the patient in a therapeutic partnership. I spend time with my patients, listen to their histories and look at the interactions among genetic, environmental, and lifestyle factors that can influence long-term health and complex, chronic disease. Functional Medicine, is an evolution in the practice of medicine that better addresses the healthcare needs of the 21st century. By shifting the traditional disease-centered focus of medical practice to a more patient-centered approach, functional medicine addresses the whole person, not just an isolated set of symptoms.
My approach to care will complete the picture of a full patient-centric approach in using conventional and holistic protocols for treatment. I use diagnostic tools that do a far more detailed micro-analysis of the root cause of one's disease. These are part of FM curriculum and are termed as Functional Diagnostic Nutrition. I look at markers, such as Antecedents; triggers and mediators , that pinpoint the ‘cause’ of a disease.
My services are covered under multiple extended healthcare plans. I also possess my own Liability Insurance and will be more than happy doing virtual tele-health consults in these times.
